Frequently asked questions

Short, honest answers to the questions everyone asks: safety, fees, why the desk isn't trading, what happens if Hypertrade goes down, and more.

Updated 2026-07-21

Straight answers, no hedging. If your question isn't here, the in-app support assistant (bottom-right on every page) knows your actual account state and can diagnose most setup issues on the spot, or email [email protected].

Is my money safe with Hypertrade?

Real trading capital stays in your own Hyperliquid account. The owner wallet controls withdrawals; the separate agent can trade but cannot withdraw. New secure signer rows contain no raw key material. Market risk remains real: leverage can lose the full balance. See Custody and security.

Why isn't my desk trading?

Check the live state, not market activity alone: (1) Trading Balance or account mode is unavailable; (2) the agent is awaiting approval, expired, or no longer venue-valid; (3) funding has not reached destination-completed; (4) the engine found no setup with complete data and positive modeled net growth; or (5) a throttle, cooldown, guard, or pause is active. The account card and decisions feed name the actual blocker.

Why did my order get smaller than the AI proposed?

The risk engine resized it, most often under the portfolio-heat rule (your book already carries enough correlated risk), a leverage clamp, or a liquidity cap. The verdict line on the desk page names the rule every time.

What does Hypertrade cost?

A subscription; see pricing. Free tier lets you run a desk with your own AI key; paid tiers add the managed Hypertrade AI, more desks, higher notional capacity, and the Ultra intel feeds. We never take a cut of your profits. Trading capital remains in the user-controlled account while the approved agent can trade and, where the venue permits, reallocate collateral inside that account. Subscriptions can be paid in USDC.

Can I withdraw my funds whenever I want?

You control withdrawals. Where in-app withdrawal is enabled, it requires a fresh user authorization and uses only venue-reported available balance. You can also manage the owner account directly through the provider or Hyperliquid. Margin committed to open positions is not available to withdraw.

What happens if Hypertrade goes down?

Your protective stops keep working, because they rest on Hyperliquid's own order books, not on our servers. Open positions keep their stops; nothing new gets opened; and you can always manage your account directly on Hyperliquid with your own wallet.

Which AI models can I use?

The managed Hypertrade AI (no key needed, paid plans), or bring your own: Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok, Qwen, DeepSeek, or any self-hosted OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Keys are stored encrypted and used only to call your provider.

Does the AI ever hold my keys or my money?

No. The AI emits structured proposals. The execution layer calls a provider-backed trade-only signer by opaque reference after deterministic risk checks. The model never receives owner credentials, signer credentials, or trading capital.

Do I need MetaMask or an agent private key?

Not when the default Hypertrade One Real-funds capability is enabled: sign in, create a user-owned trading account, grant trade-only permission, and add funds from the account center. When it is unavailable, use Practice or the Advanced compatibility path for an existing Hyperliquid account. Never paste an owner private key.

Why does funding say destination pending after the provider says success?

This is intentional. Hypertrade does not mark trading capital ready from provider status alone. It waits for matching Hyperliquid capital-ledger evidence so a provider callback cannot create a false balance.

Can I trade stocks too?

Yes: eligible US-stock perpetuals use Hyperliquid's HIP-3 markets and the same risk engine after you allocate collateral on that desk's network. Hyperliquid currently exposes xyz on mainnet and testnet; Hypertrade never shares collateral, positions, orders, caches, or account state between them. Testnet is practice funds only. Commodity live execution is disabled and no standalone commodity strategy has authority. See Activate US stocks.

Is Hypertrade available in my country?

Hypertrade is not available to US persons and other restricted jurisdictions (the product surfaces are geo-gated). Reading the site and docs is open everywhere.

Is this financial advice? Will I make money?

No and no promises. Hypertrade is software: it executes a disciplined process with enforced limits and full transparency. Leveraged markets can and do go against any process. Never trade money you can't afford to lose.

How do I delete a desk or my account?

Desk: the Delete button on its page (open positions are flattened first; your wallet connection survives). Account: Settings → Danger zone. Account deletion requires fresh identity verification, refuses while funding or wallet actions are unresolved, closes positions, and requires active trading permission to be revoked first. It removes application data subject to limited audit, security, and legal retention; it does not delete a user-owned wallet or blockchain history.
