Desks and mandates
The two core objects in Hypertrade: a desk is one AI with one wallet and one risk contract; a mandate is the single document that desk lives by.
A desk is the unit of everything in Hypertrade: one AI model, one trading wallet, one risk mode, one track record. Desks are independent: pausing, deleting, or blowing the drawdown line on one never touches another. Most people run one; power users run a stable (say, a chill BTC-only desk next to an aggressive full-market scanner) and compare records.
The mandate is the desk's one-page constitution. It has exactly three readers, and that is the core design of the product:

| The engine (enforces it) | The mode's hard numbers (leverage, risk-per-trade, loss locks) become machine-checked rules on every order. The AI cannot argue with them. |
What's in a mandate
- Objective: one or two sentences of intent: “grow steadily, skip when unsure”.
- Style: the trading personality: patient and capital-first, or momentum-chasing.
- Universe:
AUTOscans every liquid market (the default and usually the right call); or pin it to specific symbols. - Data sources: price and funding always; news, social sentiment, smart-money flows and liquidation maps stream on the Ultra plan.
- Conviction floor: the desk stands aside on any setup scoring below it. Higher = fewer, stronger trades.
- Mode + hard rules: set by your risk mode choice; visible in full in the desk's rules panel. See Risk modes.
Every desk page shows the mandate from all three angles: the editable form, “the AI reads this” (the exact briefing text), and “the engine enforces this” (the rule list). Nothing about how your desk is instructed is hidden from you.
Versioning
Every mandate change bumps a version number. Combined with the decisions feed (every proposal and verdict, timestamped), you can always reconstruct what the desk believed and was allowed to do at any moment.
